We work with destinations, businesses, investors and funders to understand the risks, shape solutions and support practical action.
Climate change, rising visitor numbers and widening inequality are already affecting tourism destinations worldwide. Communities are feeling the impacts first, from loss of homes and livelihoods to pressure on water and food, declining quality of life and growing instability for visitor economies.
Through our research and advocacy, our practical support and training, and our global initiatives and destination partnerships, we help leaders understand the risks, test solutions in practice and apply what works more widely.
We are working to change the tourism system, with a focus on:
- Enabling destinations to identify climate risk and build resilience
- Improving outcomes for destination communities
- Building skills and knowledge to support climate action, community engagement and wellbeing
Together, this work helps turn ambition into practical change.
