Our online Destination Climate Champions training course is now available in Spanish. Developed by the Travel Foundation in collaboration with Expedia Group, this free training course is designed to empower Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) and National Tourism Organizations (NTOs) to lead meaningful climate action in their destinations.
The self-paced course includes eight modules covering topics such as creating a Climate Action Plan and embedding sustainability into marketing strategies. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to develop a destination-specific Climate Action Plan and apply a climate lens to everyday decision-making.
What does the course offer?
- A strong understanding of climate change and its impact on tourism
- Practical guidelines to create a Climate Action Plan – reduce emissions and build resilience – specifically for destinations
- Access to a global network of professionals and peer-learning workshops (currently delivered in English)
